Addressing the Issues, Thoughtfully

Solutions are out there, we need to find them.

  • Housing

The cost and availability of housing in Laramie are both pressing issues that affect individuals and businesses alike. Now is the time to implement a multi-pronged approach: review and make changes to city code to best support community, create incentives for affordable housing, and consider creative approaches to land use.

  • Aquifer Protection

60% of Laramie’s water comes from the Casper Aquifer, the remainder from the Laramie River. We must ensure that the aquifer is protected - especially as the prospect of drought increases. The Aquifer Protection Plan should continue to be reviewed and updated on a regular basis, letting research lead the way.

  • Infrastructure

Crumbling streets and sidewalks deserve (and are beginning to receive) some much needed TLC in Laramie, but we also need to improve the invisible stuff - the sewer and water lines must be kept up-to-date and functioning as well to ensure Laramie is safe and livable.

  • Business

Supporting business means thinking about how Laramie can support business and how business can help build community. We’ll need to both foster the shops already here, and incentivize new growth in Laramie.
